College Football

     Saturday afternoon, the Alabama Crimson Tide and Texas A&M Aggies squared off in Tuscaloosa. The Aggies played their best game of the season as they knocked off the number 1 team in the nation. This opened up the top spot in the BCS standings. Kansas State was ranked number 2. After beating TCU Saturday, they became #1 in the country. The top 10 in the BCS standings is:
1. Kansas State
2. Oregon
3. Notre Dame
4. Alabama
5. Georgia
6. Florida
7. LSU
8. Texas A&M
9. South Carolina
10. Florida State


     In other news, Kentucky athletic director Mitch Barnhart announced that Kentucky's head coach, Joker Phillips, will not be returning to coach next season. After a 12-23 record in his 3 seasons as coach, he was fired on November 4th. Barnhart says the search for a new coach has already begun.
